About Us

Wealthy Habits is a personal finance program that teaches you how to handle money God’s way.

Through 7 sessions, we integrate biblical money management principles, catholic social teaching and the virtues to help individuals, couples and families achieve financial prosperity and live generously.

Our vision is to make Wealthy Habits the program parishes use to provide personal finance education to couples going through marriage preparation, those struggling with money problems, or anyone seeking financial independence and a generous way of living.

Meet Stefy & Hector

The Founders of Wealthy Habits

Hector and Stefany Leal were born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico.

They married in 2016 and moved to the United States in 2016 and 2012, respectively.

In 2018, by the grace of God, stubbled with Financial Peace University (FPU) at St. Michael Catholic Church.

Both with Masters in Administration Degrees (MBAs) from globally known universities, and even Hector with a minor in Finance, they thought they would take FPU only to learn more about 401K and insurance, given these financial tools work different in their home county. They were in for a ride!

Learning God's way of handling their personal finances opened their hearts to faith and generosity, redeemed their marriage, helped them achieve financial prosperity and gave their lives purpose. In summary, learning God’s way of handling money made them wealthy people.

Since 2019, Hector and Stefy have facilitated personal finance programs at different parishes and religious-based organizations and have changed the lives of more than 65 families. They also give workshops about personal finance and faith.

In 2024, they certified as personal finance coaches and developed their own personal finance program, Wealthy Habits.

The Leals live in Houston, with their daughter. Hector works in Finance for a global company. Stefy is a homemaker. They are part of the Missionaries to the Family community at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Their passion is teaching others how handling money God’s way can open their hearts to a deep relationship with Jesus and make them not only millionaires, but truly all-around-wealthy and generous people.
